Brenden O’Sullivan is a 2022 LHP/1B from Cherokee HS. He is a RHH with a smooth barrel path. He can barrel balls to both gaps, and can work the ball to right center field consistently. His top exit velocities are 88-92.

At 1B, Brenden has good footwork and stays behind the ball well. He stays down well on balls in the dirt and is athletic enough to throw to all bases with confidence.

On the mound, he is a low 3/4 slot LHP with an aggressive slider. The slider has horizontal and vertical break. He can throw it for strikes and also as an effective 2 strike pitch. His spin rate on his slider is consistently 2300-2400rpm.

His fastball is low 80s with some effective tail. It plays well with his slider, as they both come out of the same arm slot. The change up is 6-8 mph less than his fastball, and has good depth. He profiles as a left on left specialist who can also attack RHH.

He’s a very motivated, academic young man who speaks well and is driven to continue to improve.
