SCOUTING REPORT
Calvin is a crafty lefty who can effectively throw multiple pitches for strikes and can locate in all quadrants on the plate. Calvin does a great job of getting soft contact early in at bats and letting his defense do work for him. Calvin has a great tempo when he pitches, owning the mound and commanding the pace of the play. Calvin also does a solid job of fielding his position and making plays off the mound and helping to get outs in the bunt game. Calvin holds runners very well and slows down the running game of other teams. Calvin's ability to get quick outs and keep his pitch count down allows him the ability to work deep into games. Calvin is dynamic is his ability to both start and come in as a relief pitcher. Calvin is effective in both roles and is willing to handle any role that is given to him. Calvin is also a student of the game and picks up tendencies of hitters and gains an understanding of how to attack hitters. Calvin also takes the necessary time to improve his mechanics and strengthen his body.

My Three Greatest Strengths
A hard work ethic both on and off the field and especially in the classroom. I drive to better myself as a person, student, and player I’ve been told are second to none. My drive to be better includes helping my team and teammates as well, in the little ways I want to better everyone I can.
● I want to be out there both as a competitor as well as a teammate.
● A strong leader who wants to win with the will to do all it takes and give all I have.
Why a College Coach Should Recruit Me
I can contribute on the field by getting outs as well as helping in any way I can without asking. I take pride in the fact that I’m a very coachable player that has the want to be better overall. I thrive on the pressure I’m given and have a want for more, constantly giving me the desire to be a leader for the team in any small way I can. With my edge, my will, and my ability to contribute the small ways I feel as I will benefit any collegiate baseball program.
Preferred Type of College Program
I’m looking for an academic school that fits my mathematical wants as well as challenge me both physically and mentally to make me a better person. I also want a coach to be my role model along with teammates I can learn from.
