SCOUTING REPORT
Nick Olson is a 6’3”, 180 lb corner INF/RHP from the Whitefield Academy. He is a 2023 grad. Nick has present strength in his swing, generating low 90s exit velocities. His swing path is becoming smoother as he unlocks his lower body. He shows power to both gaps. He should tap into more power as the swing mechanics continue to clean up. He projects as a D1 hitter based on his growth over the past year both physically and mechanically. On the mound, Nick works around 84-86 with an above average change up and a developing slider. While the bat has been his biggest weapon to date, the pitching ceiling allows for room to develop as the delivery creates more arm speed. He projects to add 10-15 pounds to the growing frame in the next year.

My Three Greatest Strengths
A college coach should recruit me because I am committed to anything I do on or off the field. I am also a very coachable player and always look to get better at anything that I do. I am a competitive player and I do not fear anyone that I am playing against. Although I am competitive, I am a good teammate and always want the best for those around me. With my skillset and fearless mentality, I believe that I will be of benefit to any college program
Why a College Coach Should Recruit Me
I am looking for a college program that will not only provide an opportunity to play for a successful baseball program with high integrity coaches, but one that will provide me the benefits of earning a degree that will help me in the future.
Preferred Type of College Program
My three strengths as a person are my willingness to help others, my work ethic, and my ability to make the right choices at the right time. My three greatest strengths as a player are my ability to hit gap to gap for power, my fearlessness of opponents, and rising up to the challenge under pressure.
